Belgrave Feast is a feast for the senses with food vendors from all over Yorkshire traveling to delight the taste buds of Leeds

The popular foodie event in Leeds kicks off today at 11am, with a selection of the north’s favorite independent street food traders serving their best dishes.

On A Roll, Kuala Lumpur Cafe, Salty Dog, The Savvy Baker and Simpatico Pizza all join in this month’s party, with Belgrave residents Dough Boys and Patty Smith’s joining them.

There are a range of cuisines to try this weekend, including Japanese, Italian, Malaysian and Irish dishes from some of the highly esteemed traders on site.

Vendors have the opportunity to plug their businesses in at the event, as well as network with foodies from Leeds and other businesses at the party.

Speaking to Dana Llewellyn, owner of On A Roll, she said:

“There’s no obvious demographics, just a lot of cool people and we really appreciate that Belgrave is stepping up and giving street traders a chance to come and be a part of the great vibe of food, music and entertainment. art.

My husband and I love food and learning about other cultures and always look for independent restaurants and bars when we travel.

It’s always nice to meet new traders as we all try to help and support each other. “

Upstairs in Belgrave, there are also tables filled with arts and crafts made by local designers, as well as kid-friendly activities in the Tykes Creative Corner that take place throughout the day. ‘afternoon.

For those early risers at the party, they can try Dough Babies – a free pizza-making class for kids at 11 a.m. courtesy of the team at Dough Boys Pizza.

Local DJs handpicked by the Leeds Superfriendz organization provide the soundtrack throughout the day, with a mix of vinyl records and digital sets providing afternoon entertainment.
