Stone dog owners have a new dog grooming choice after Blooming Grooming opened on Radford Street in the city – we caught up with owner Amy Marie Sharpe to find out more.
Everything went well for Amy as she transformed a former Stone’s Radford Street dentist’s office into a fully-equipped dog grooming salon – called Blooming Grooming.
We spoke with Amy about her new business and what the salon will offer to clients in Stone and the surrounding area.
“I’m a graduate accountant which I enjoyed, but since I have 2 kids and seen other businesses run I wanted it for myself and my family.
“My love for dogs and the way they don’t judge a person, no matter what their personal circumstances, were the main drivers in opening the business. Dogs are very loyal and will always brighten up a person’s day.
For now, Amy is working alone, but hopes that with a successful launch and an expanded customer base, she can expand her team in 2022.
We recently did a report on the new Chocbox Chocolate Factory on High Street, and we wanted to hear from Amy about what brought her to Stone and select the unit from which she now operates.
Amy told us:
“I wasn’t born in Stone but I fell in love with the community and the landscapes, I knew Stone was definitely the place I wanted to live.
“The main street has always had a family atmosphere with businesses looking for and promoting each other.
“I can’t wait for Blooming Grooming to be part of this community network of small businesses that is the cornerstone of towns like Stone. “
We asked Amy what Blooming Grooming would offer local dog owners.
“We offer a friendly 1 to 1 grooming service, taking care of all breeds and coat types.
“We will have offers on the regular bride and groom and my soon to be launched website will have more details on that.
“Loyalty cards and samples will be handed over in the first month of trading. “
