Rated by Country Living as “one of the six best lavender farms to visit in America,” Lavender by the Bay in East Marion is open for the season. You can stroll through ‘magical’ fields of fragrant blooming flowers and enjoy a natural aromatic experience that is sure to soothe your spirits.
The family owned and operated 17 acre farm is home to over 80,000 English Lavender and French Lavender plants that bloom and peak at different times of the season. Field visits require a ticket. Purchase in advance online at Lavender By The Bay website is recommended as the availability of walk-in tickets is not guaranteed. Each ticket costs $13 plus tax for ages 7 and up and is valid for a specific 90-minute time slot. Tickets are also available to visit Lavender by the Bay’s smaller farm located in Calverton.
After embracing the beauty of the fields and taking plenty of photos, visitors can purchase locally produced lavender products and bring home the pleasant scents of this vibrant purple flower.
