Have you ever done something and then all of a sudden you get what seems like totally random chills? Regardless, you listened to those senses and walked out of senseless danger. If this happened, share your story below!
Many moons ago I was self-employed in Germany traveling from city to city, city to city, always on the move from morning till night. Always under pressure and a lot of stress.
I was driving along the freeway at a reasonable pace, needed to get to a client in ten minutes and another hour there and angry at a speed bump ahead of me in the fast lane.
I left my body, I kind of slipped out of it, I went through the roof of the car and I could see everything from above, I saw my car swerve near from 200 km/h, I saw it hit the central barrier, go to the other side of the highway and knock over, again and again and again, pieces flying and breaking again and again.
THEN I was back, slowed down and took the next exit and parked on a side road, panting and with a heart stumbling like a hammer on an anvil. I called the customer, told him I would be late, and closed my shop by the end of the month.
Not so much “spidey-sense” as “mama sense”. A friend of a friend of my husband kept pestering us to babysit our daughter (who was about 4 at the time). We didn’t know him very well, but something about him didn’t suit me. He would comment on how cute our daughter was or how much he liked the color of her eyes. Nothing inherently weird, just the way he said it or looked at it. After a few times we told my husband’s friend that he couldn’t bring his friend anymore. A few weeks later, this guy and his brother got arrested in a child pornography ring in our area.
Several times have saved me, and sometimes (because this is the medical profession) others. If you feel this tingling, you don’t know why? Listen to him. Ask for a blood test or an additional scan. Turn the other way on the way back. Verify that the window locks. Reassess this patient. For me, our “spider sense” is our subconscious mind kicking our conscious mind into paying attention to something the subconscious mind noticed while we were busy.
One time I was doing gymnastics and practicing a skill that I had practiced many times. I ran to do it and was about to jump backwards to do it, and I was instantly scared. It turns out that right behind me was a little girl. I was very happy not to land on her.
I had been out at a nightclub and stopped in with friends for a late night meal. I had no money so I drove down the street to a gas station. Turns out there was no ATM. I asked the clerk and he told me where the one was that I didn’t know how to get there. Two girls behind me said they would show me where it was if I bought them a drink. Of course, I said… It’s definitely not something I normally would do, but I had been drinking. As I waited for them to take their drink, this feeling washed over me telling me to get the hell out of there and fast. I just turned around, got out, got in my car and drove off. I don’t know what made me leave like this… but something told me that these girls had not-so-nice plans for me…
biker, spider senses pulled me away from the hood of a guy’s car when he dove into my lane!
I once went to the store to buy a coke, and I smelled something weird, so I went to pay, and I’m lucky I did because some weirdo decided to BURN the alley i was in
My wife and I were driving down the highway in the pouring rain. It was almost bumper-to-bumper traffic going over 80 mph (about 130 km/h), and we’re right behind this little blue car with a ski rack. We both feel like we need to pull off the road immediately and wait out the rain. So we take the very next exit, stop at a gas station and use the restroom. By the time we’re done the rain has stopped so we’re back on the highway. Less than a kilometer later, traffic is slowed down due to an accident, and what do we see? A small blue car with a ski rack upside down in the median. If we hadn’t been listed according to our Spidey sense, we would have been right behind that car and probably would have been involved in a very serious car accident.
there was a similar question posted on BP about this and I wrote about an experience that basically saved me from possible abduction so I won’t put it here. but, what i will share is that there have been times when i feel ready to go somewhere and for some reason i change my driving directions or deliberately slow down or stop somewhere . then when i got back on the road i saw the aftermath of an accident and realized that if i had left and driven straight to my destination i would have been in that area at the time of the accident . this has happened more than once or twice so i always listen to the “feeling”.
I used to ride my bike all over my neighborhood, but I had this weird feeling every time I walked down my usual street. I went the other way that day and it turned out there was a car accident on the usual route. It was pretty brutal too.
I was at an after school activity when I had this pinching, fluttering feeling in my chest. I thought it was a panic attack and rushed into an empty classroom when my crush came out and saw me. She didn’t know what was going on, but she helped me that day. She told me later that she was taking art supplies for a project and her whole body was screaming at her to turn around.
Oh yeah, we’ve been dating for five months. 🙂
Once I had a feeling that something bad was going to happen, so I went to investigate. As soon as I moved, a book fell where I was standing! No lies! (This happened in the library and the lady on the other side of the shelf was putting books back and it pushed the book a little too hard so the book pushed another book out of place.)
It’s not me but I was there. So basically the whole family was at my uncles and the boys were playing football in the neighbors garden with the neighbors. Then I think the soccer ball hit the window or something that I can’t really remember, but my uncle came out in a rage. I remember the boys were all in the next garden, then the rest of the family was in my uncle’s garden. He was yelling at one of my cousins who banged on the window or whatever. Then my cousin’s mother moved closer to the wall, and he moved closer to her. My uncle threw a brick and it went exactly where my cousin was standing just before. We were all really shaken up by this…
I’m sure we’ve all played dodgeball at least once in our lives, and I’ve been playing it a lot lately in physical education. Many times I felt like someone was behind me and ready, and had walked away, only to see a bullet fly very fast near my head. I’m telling you, I could have had a concussion multiple times if I hadn’t listened to my “spider senses.” Either that or a 10-foot-tall bump like in those kiddie cartoons.
It’s not for me, but my mother. My mom was somewhere and a guy asked her something, she freaked out so she denied… A few days later she saw that he was arrested for assault.
I was playing with my friend, he rushed forward trying to grab me. I leaned back and lost my balance. I did a backflip roll and regained my balance. My friends were in awe. This is the closest I’ll get to a backflip.
Many years ago I had a long distance relationship who I visited over the weekend. On Monday, my boyfriend helped me with my stuff to drive me to the station while I stalled as much as possible.
At the station, I started acting like an overtired toddler. I started nagging that I don’t like this train and refused to get on it. At that time, my boyfriend got a little upset because he had to go to work. As soon as the train left, I suddenly started again and told her to go to the office.
After an hour of waiting, I went to get the next train for my 3 hour trip. Halfway through, I noticed that the route was kind of weird and it took longer than usual.
It hit me at home at night when I watched the news. There was a serious train accident. After a wheel malfunction it derailed. Only the passengers of the first three carriages survived. 101 people lost their lives. This is the train I refused to take.
Maybe it doesn’t count, but yes! I totally forgot where I was in Colombia, but I was in Colombia. We sailed to this small Peruvian island, full of trees I tell you. I had leg pain for some reason and was close to water. I figured water would soothe that, so I walked a few feet away from where I was standing to get some water and…snap 🙂 The tree I was standing under a few seconds fell, right where I was standing.
No, but my playful senses are tingling about a relationship I’m in and I don’t know what to do about it
