Rebel Wilson once had a hosting gig and, well, his childhood to help him with the upcoming series of ABC grooming contests, perfect doggie.
Not only did she host the Australian version of the series, but in this TV Insider exclusive preview, she says, “My childhood was basically this movie. Best of Show. “
Wilson, who comes from a family of professional dog breeders, also plays a “Name This Dog” game in the video, and for her, the guessing game of matching breeds to photos is (mostly) easy. She has her favorite (Bichon Frize), the one her mother will be happy to have had (Chinese Crested), and the one who was her co-host on the Australian show. perfect doggie (Brussels Griffon).

In the eight episodes perfect doggie, 10 of the best dog groomers in the country and their assistants compete in “thematic paw challenges”. The first is the Immunity Puppertunity challenge, in which a team will gain immunity against elimination. Next is the Ultimutt Challenge showdown, and teams will show off their epic grooming transformations while walking the dog. (The puns continue in the slogan below.)
All-star celebrity judges Lisa Vanderpump, Jorge Bendersky and Dr Callie Harris will vote, with one team named Best in Show and one eliminated. In the season finale, the top three teams will compete for a cash prize and the “Pooch Perfect” first place trophy.
