Four things are certain in life.
A. Death.
Of them. Taxes.
Three. If you want to make money in America, where we elevate pets to human status, take advantage of that anthropomorphism by starting a pet-based business.
Four. A smart business name always helps.
Scenthound is coming soon to The Shoppes at Union Hill. It’s in Denville.
So Greyhound. Does this mean my dog ââis getting the canine equivalent of Febreezed during their stay? Will Finn come out feeling better? I am downstairs !
Here’s where the name comes from. This dog grooming company believes in focusing on five key areas for your pooch. Their skin, coat, ears, nails and teeth. So, PERFUME.
See what they did there?
And Scenthound doesn’t just open a store. They are opening a center. What they call⦠wait⦠scentres.
Oh, this smart business name business is on fire!
The âcenterâ will be located at 3056 Route 10 West in Denville. The opening date is Monday August 16.
A press release issued by CEO Tim Vogel reads: âWe launched Scenthound to provide basic grooming services for all breeds, and as we grow nationally we hope to educate as many of people as possible to make sure their dogs are getting the routine care they need. to stay clean and healthy.
Their website describes it as a “wellness-based grooming concept.”
Okay, that sounds a little foo-foo for my taste. I mean when I had my Golden Retriever George in Michigan his groomer was a beefy, hairy dude named Aloha Al. He took your dog in his van and groomed him shirtless looking like a yeti all bellowing Frank Sinatra songs.
But hey, if you want a wellness-based grooming concept, this could be for you. They offer monthly subscriptions. They perform an olfactory check at every visit and rate your dog’s skin, coat, ears, nails and teeth on a scale of 1 to 5.
Scenthound opened in Jupiter, Florida in 2015 and there are now 98 current or future âcentersâ in 12 states.
Hope they are doing well and making a lot of dollars and perfume.
