This brushing minimizes hair loss and also conditions the dog’s skin. Breeders recommend bathing the Boston terrier only when necessary. But they also say you should wash the dog’s face and eyes every day with a damp washcloth. (Maybe when you wash your face in the morning?)

The boxer is next on the AKC’s list of easy-to-groom dog breeds. These dogs may need a lot of exercise, but they don’t need a lot of grooming. They have a short, fine coat. And pretty much all they need, according to the AKC, is an occasional bath.
