The AKC also considers the Italian Greyhound one of the best dog breeds to consider if you don’t have a lot of time to groom your dog. These little dogs have a very short, fine coat that requires very little grooming. In fact, the AKC warns that even a monthly bath can irritate an Italian Greyhound’s skin and coat. “Many owners find that wiping their dogs with a damp cloth is more than enough,” the organization notes.

11. Miniature Pinscher

If you want a small dog that you won’t have to groom extensively, I Heart Dogs recommends the Miniature Pinscher. The publication reports that this dog only needs regular brushing to remove excess dirt. In fact, this is one of the few dog breeds for which veterinarians recommend bathing as little as possible.
